Lamudi Sets the Stage for The Outlook 2019

Now on its third year, the country’s leading online real estate platform is once again giving due credit to the trailblazers of the local real estate industry through The Outlook, Lamudi’s prestigious awards gala that honors the best real estate projects and developers of the country. The Outlook 2019: Philippine Buyers’ Choice Property Awards gala co-presented by Philippine Daily Inquirer Property will be held at Makati Shangri-la on November 14, 2019.

Nominations kicked off early January this year and ended on May 31, 2019.

Like last year, the judging and shortlisting of nominees will be facilitated by a reputable panel of judges composed of Atty. Robert Leyretana, Deputy Administrator for Administration of Land Registration Authority, Richard Raymundo, Managing Director of Colliers International Philippines, Kenneth Stern, Country Manager of RE/MAX, and Georg Platzer, Market Development Manager and Store Manager of Ikea Philippines, Amelita Remo, Writing Editor of Philippine Daily Inquirer Property, Theresa Samaniego, Editor of Philipine Daily Inquirer Property, Dr. Amado P. De Jesus, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Green Building Initiative, Dr. Eduardo Ong, Former Chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board for Real Estate Services, LeiraBuan, Assistant Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, James Buskowitz, Chief Executive Officer of the Buskowitz Group, Rick Santos, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Santos Knight Frank, and Jason Buensalido, Chief Executive Officer of Buensalido and Architects.

After determining the shortlisted nominees, a survey among 10,000 active property seekers on the Lamudi platform under categories that match their search preferences will then commence.

Bigger and Better

“The overwhelming success of the event we had in 2018 raised the bar for us this 2019, which is only fitting because we have always been committed to surpassing ourselves each year. Similarly, the industry remains on an upward growth trajectory so we are looking forward to awarding more groundbreaking work,” Lamudi CEO Bhavna Suresh said.

Prior to the awards gala on November, Lamudi will also be hosting The Outlook Conference on October 17 at Makati Shangri-La which aims to highlight key trends and important conversations surrounding the present property sector.

“The Outlook Conference will complement the awards gala, in as much as we wanted to provide numerous platforms for knowledge-sharing and valuable discussions to advance the industry and better serve the preferences of today’s property seekers,” Suresh added.

Duty Free Philippines builds global presence through MICE events nationwide

Boosting the promotion of Duty Free Philippines (DFP) to the international market, the state-owned corporation intensifies its presence in Meeting, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E) events hosted in the Philippines.

DFP Chief Operating Officer (COO) Vicente Pelagio A. Angala announced  DFP’s participation to the upcoming Centre for Aviation Low-Cost Carrier (CAPA LCC) North Asia Summit in Cebu City on June 24-25, 2019.

The said summit will be attended by over 300 foreign delegates composed of North Asia’s low-cost carrier CEOs as well as other senior executives from across the aviation value chain.

During the conference, DFP will give participants a piece of the Philippine local products. These products are currently sold at the Go Lokal! Kiosk of DFP outlets.

Early this year, Angala announced that export-quality local products will be put in the spotlight by Duty Free Philippines, not just to showcase the Filipino culture but to also provide a marketing tool for micro, small, medium enterprise (MSMEs) to gain access to the global market.

“Events like this give an opportunity to introduce Duty Free Philippines especially to local brands. This also serves as a marketing tool for MSMEs to gain access to the international market,” said Angala.

Some of the major events supported by the DFP this year were 2019 Routes Asia, 7th Union Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRC), and Manila FAME.
